We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Adelaide office, supporting our highly regarded Corporate and Banking and Finance teams on a full-time, permanent basis.
This dual-support role offers exceptional variety and exposure, giving you the chance to work across two dynamic practice groups while building valuable skills and deepening your knowledge. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to Partners, lawyers, and clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the role
In this busy and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive administrative and practice support, including:
- Providing dedicated administrative assistance to Partners, senior lawyers and their broader teams
- Drafting, preparing and editing legal documents, presentations and general correspondence
- Conducting InfoTrack searches and managing PPS registrations
- Managing calendars, diaries and contacts, including scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments
- Proactively overseeing financial and matter-related requirements, including opening new matters, conflict checks, trust requirements, accounts payable, audit letters and high-volume billing
- Supporting day-to-day operations such as answering calls, processing mail, preparing routine correspondence, liaising with clients and managing ad hoc printing and document tasks
- Acting as a professional and approachable point of contact for clients, external parties, national colleagues and internal teams, using strong written and verbal communication skills at all times.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring a proactive and service-focused approach, along with:
- Previous experience in legal administration, or a strong desire to build a long-term career in legal support
- A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting your team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- A high level of discretion and care when working with confidential and sensitive information
- Experience using Elite or similar financial systems for expenses, matters, timesheets, billing and reporting
- Confidence using Outlook to manage emails, calendars and contacts
- Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to produce high-quality documents.
