Leading Commercial Law Firm, Dentons Kensington Swan, is seeking a dynamic individual to become part of our team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). What is the role?

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer with accountability to the Board and the Partnership, you will be a member of the Executive Management Team. You will:

  • focus on reporting timely and accurate financial information, and providing analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • deliver functional excellence for the business operations of the Firm, and support the successful achievement of our business and strategic plan goals
  • develop long range financial strategies and business plans for the Firm
  • have overall accountability and leadership of the Finance, Anti-money Laundering, Credit, and Trust Account processes and people.

What are we looking for?

You will have extensive financial leadership experience in financial services, professional services,  or service-focused businesses, including:

  • tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (CAANZ/CPA) and NZICA current membership, or equivalent
  • a passion for building capability across a finance team and proven experience improving the systems and processes
  • strong financial leadership with in-depth experience in financial management, accounting and reporting
  • sound understanding of financial management information systems and related business processes
  • experience in leading process improvement, process efficiency and change management
  • a drive for continuous improvement to enable the Finance Team to add value to the business
  • experience with strategic and business planning in a complex business environment
  • complex decision and issues management, including financial modelling.
