Leading global Law Firm, Dentons is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Financial Reporting Manager to lead our Reporting and Tax function.

The role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and overseeing our Financial Analystthis role is a finance leader and trusted business partner, providing strategic financial advice and insights to Partners, senior leaders and employees across the firm. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the Reporting and Tax function
- Partner and management reporting
- Financial analysis and commercial insights
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes
What are we looking for?
You will have extensive financial leadership experience in professional services, financial services, or another service-based environment, including:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, together with a CA ANZ, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification and current membership.
- At least six years' commercial experience, including exposure to financial, tax, and statutory reporting under NZ IFRS.
- Proven experience leading and developing finance professionals, including managing direct reports, with a passion for building team capability and improving systems and processes.
- Strong experience across financial systems, management accounting, business partnering, and Power BI reporting.
- A deep understanding of NZ IFRS and financial reporting standards, with the ability to provide commercially focused advice and insights.
- Well-developed commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
