Step into a high-impact role in our Corporate & Commercial team, advising top-tier national and international clients across a spectrum of complex transactions. Work on local and cross-border deals, across 30+ jurisdictions. Our team is highly collaborative, with a culture that values intellectual rigour, practical solutions, and client-centric service. While the Corporate Team operates as a national practice you will be primarily working with Gerard Dale and Chris Parke. Dentons’ lawyers are supported by global resources and local insight, enabling them to deliver seamless advice across jurisdictions
The role can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.

- Domestic and international transactions
- Business and corporate advisory
- Private Equity and Venture Capital
- Joint ventures, partnering and alliancing
- Commercial contracts
Noteworthy Engagements Dentons New Zealand
- Advised a Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company on acquiring a NZ-based early-stage software business with operations across Australia, the UK, and the US—leveraging Dentons’ global network.
- Acted for Kennards Self Storage on its acquisition of all of the shares in National Mini Storage.
- Working with our Melbourne, London, Toronto and Washington DC offices on a range of transactions.

About you
The ideal lawyer will have 7+ years’ experience and lead work on files. You will need to be a strong team player and have a genuine ambition to establish yourself as a recognised professional in the corporate and commercial field. You will enjoy business development, mentoring and supporting other lawyers, have a flexible and proactive approach to work, like variety, and be focused on fostering strong relationships across the market.
