About the opportunity

Dentons Luxembourg is currently looking to strengthen their Tax Compliance practice with the appointment as soon as possible of a Junior Associate (position also open to a long-term Internship) to expand our Tax practice. Based in our Luxembourg office you will be part of the Tax practice working on different Tax related matters. Due to the polycentric character of the firm, you will get the opportunity to work closely with colleagues form other offices and with clients located around the world.
The Luxembourg team provides a full range of legal services, with a particular focus on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, tax, investment funds, banking and finance, structured finance, real estate, and restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy.


About the role

•    Preparing deliverables related to tax compliance services (e.g. VAT returns and corporate tax returns) for an identified clients portfolio, with the guidance of our teams of tax specialists
•    Liaising with tax authorities to discuss client issues
•    Learning about compliance obligations and timelines, rights and obligations of taxpayers, and Tax/litigation issues and procedures
•    Working on tax opinions, circulars, as well as legal research in the tax code or in double taxation treaties
•    Participating in the development of the Tax practice
•    Working in collaboration with other departments to provide the best service to our clients
•    Receiving regular feedback offering guidance to help ensure your constant development

About you

•    You hold or are enrolled in a Master’s degree in Tax Law, Accounting or from a Business School
•    You are particularly interested on VAT, also on Direct Tax
•    Fluent in French and English 
•    Proficiency in Excel and MS-Office software
•    High levels of proactivity, accountability, and energy
•    Good stakeholder management skills, ability to learn and develop
