Associate (2 to 7 years’ experience) – Experienced Public Law Lawyer
To sustain our Public Law and Regulatory practice development in Brussels, we are currently seeking a qualified Lawyer specialized in the field of Public law law focusing primarily on economic public law, i.e. public procurement, concessions, PPP, state-owned enterprises, etc.
The lawyers and professionals in our Brussels office form a diverse group from multiple jurisdictions and with strong academic credentials. Committed to helping drive business growth for international and domestic companies, trade associations and governments, we innovate our clients’ business and help them deal with the complexities of Public law.
About You
- You are a Belgian qualified lawyer (an LL.M. or equivalent is seen as a plus)
- You have a law degree that’s backed up by good academic results
- You have gained a minimum of 2 to 7 years’ experience in the legal environment
- You are a Dutch native speaker (or are perfectly bilingual). A working knowledge of English is required
- You provide clear, precise, tailored service that helps clients in their day-to-day business, taking into account their needs & expectations
- You have a strong appetite to further develop yourself in an international setting, whilst working on Belgian law related files for local and foreign clients
- You look forward to work hand-in-hand with colleagues around the globe in an open, informal and entrepreneurial culture.
About the Role
The role will provide an opportunity to work in a growing team across a variety of Public law related tasks. Some of the day-to-day tasks will include:
- As a member of our team, you will work for various clients, both from the public and private sector and you will enjoy challenging work from day one, under the leadership of acclaimed Public law specialists, accompanied and assisted by colleagues across the globe
- You will be given responsibility and have direct client contact from day one
- You will take part in marketing and business development initiatives, as well as internal programmes in a truly international firm
- You will have an opportunity to develop your legal, business and interpersonal skills through several training tools and direct feedback from experienced colleagues
