Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for an Audio Visual Specialist to be resident in our Chicago, Houston, New York, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, or Dallas office. The Audio Visual Specialist reports to the North America Audio Visual Manager and will be required to work closely with colleagues located across the Firm’s US and Canadian offices and in any other global regions that Dentons conducts business. To be successful in this role the candidate must possess a broad understanding and passion for technology, processes, service management and critical thinking. The ideal candidate enjoys working with new technologies, is a self-learner, provides exceptional customer service and is passionate about working in a highly virtualized and innovative environment.

The Audio Visual Specialist is part of the IT Support Services team within our Business Technology department.  The Support Services team is responsible for the delivery, availability, and performance of the Firm’s technology services. This includes messaging, document management, audio visual services, Internet services, and remote access, amongst others.



Equipment Operation

  • Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audio visual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
  • Complies with all the Firm’s security and safety measures.
  • Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
  • Work with consultants, Dentons IT and cross-functional business partners to develop and maintain audio visual systems for our meeting and events spaces


Customer Service

  • Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
  • Collaborates with internal team on event solutions pre event and during event to ensure the best possible customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and fosters the client relationship.


Event Supervision

  • Performs advanced work (pre/during/post event) with local and remote team members.
  • Supervises and directs other technicians during an event.


Equipment Maintenance

  • Assists team with proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of progressive audio visual experience 
  • Experience with video conferencing, audio conferencing and remote presentation technologies
  • Experience with Meeting Room Booking software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (2016-2019-O365)
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS (Win7-Win10)
  • Ensure ongoing reliability, performance, and scalability of Dentons audio visual systems
  • Ability to define expectations for audio visual technology partners and teams, holding them accountable for successes and failures
  • Foundational knowledge of network interconnectivity
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute within a highly collaborative, virtual team environment
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work with minimal supervision
  • High standard of ethical conduct and customer service
  • Prior experience working within law firms or other professional services companies is considered an asset 
  • Bilingual English/French is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct.

Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Pursuant to Colorado law, the salary range for this position in Denver is $62,000 to $73,000, based on experience.

Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York is $67,000 to $78,000, based on experience.
