End User Computing Architect

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for an End User Computing Architect with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and iManage DMS Client-side implementations. Join our multinational law firm's Enterprise Solutions team in this subject matter expert roleThis position will work primarily remote.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee deployment and operations efforts for Microsoft Office Suite, iManage Worksite, BigHand products, Workshare Professional, Litera Compare/Metadact, IntApp Time, and other critical software programs on Windows and Mobile platforms.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 SaaS products and associated 3rd-party integrated apps.
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 including registry administration.
  • Analyze, select, develop, test, and implement best practices for continuous quality improvement of the application stack on physical, virtual, and mobile user endpoints.
  • Oversee application packaging requirements, configuration, design, and customization for large, complex deployments.
  • Stay abreast of the latest iManage features, releases, and best practices, proactively recommending client-side system improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of software portfolio technology developments, providing recommendations to enterprise technology teams and leadership.
  • Work independently and lead implementations, as well as break/fix discussions to achieve positive solutions.
  • Thrive under pressure, meeting tight project deadlines, and adapting to differing demands.
  • Multitask and prioritize workload to meet delivery commitments.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality assurance tasks and processes related to monthly patching and other software update cycles.
  • Follow enterprise procedures for application portfolio, change management, escalation, and outage protocols.
  • Other duties as required to fully meet the needs of the position.

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Work closely with the Solutions and Services teams to design, build, and ensure proactive support of enterprise solutions.
  • Execute the firm’s technology roadmap related to various applications, end-user platforms, and technology disciplines.
  • Take responsibility for task planning/management and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with peers to integrate and continually evolve the technology portfolio using project management methods and best practices.
  • Participate in the development of RFP/RFI documentation for vendor selection, contributing to the analysis and recommendation of vendors based on prioritized evaluation criteria.
  • Openness to take on additional products and services as they are onboarded into the Firm.
  • Prepare documentation for service teams for day-to-day operational support of enterprise applications.
  • Assist service teams with technical support using problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Participate in outage calls as required or requested.
  • Identify and communicate applications and business risks to appropriate levels of IT.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or comparable work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ in applications support and implementation used in the legal industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience with deployment of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
  • Minimum 5 years’ related work experience, preferably in a professional partnership.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience working with legal Document Management systems (iManage).
  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience with a systematic approach towards software testing.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience leading projects and/or people.
  • Strong ability to perform technical research on vendor and peer support sites.
  • Azure Fundamentals Training/Certification a plus.
  • Experience with scripting PowerShell a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work in an environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive deadlines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
