The Team/The Department 

 

Our Dublin based Dispute Resolution & Regulatory Investigations team advises on complex, high-value and strategically important disputes. The practice has a strong commercial litigation focus and acts for major domestic and international businesses on significant contentious matters.

 

The team handles sophisticated disputes requiring not only strong technical litigation expertise, but also a clear understanding of the wider commercial and reputational issues facing clients. 

 

We combine deep knowledge of the Irish disputes market with the reach of Dentons’ global Dispute Resolution practice. This allows us to support clients on matters extending beyond Ireland, working collaboratively with disputes lawyers across Dentons’ international network on complex cross-border issues. 

 

The practice is ambitious and growing, with a strong emphasis on high-quality client service, collaboration and developing long-term relationships with clients. As the team continues to build its presence in the Irish market, it is well positioned to further develop its work across complex commercial and regulatory defence. 

 

The Role 

 

We are looking for a talented and commercially minded disputes lawyer with approximately 4–6 years’ PQE to the team.

 

You will bring well-developed legal analysis, drafting and case management skills, together with sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work directly with clients. You will be encouraged to take meaningful responsibility for matters, contribute to case strategy and develop your client relationships, while working closely with Partners and other senior lawyers. 

 

We are a collaborative and supportive team and you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your technical and strategic capabilities and build your profile within the practice.

  • Advise on litigation and arbitration commercial sectors. 

  • Support partners in building and maintaining client relationships. 

  • Make significant contributions to business development. 

  • Work closely with teams across the firm where appropriate. 

 

Required experience, skills, and attributes 

 

  • Irish law qualified. 

  • Litigation experience gained within a top-tier City firm. 

  • Strong academic record. 

  • Sound grasp of Rules of the Superior Courts. 

  • Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability.
