Senior Associate - Real Estate

The team combines a deep and current legal expertise with sophisticated marketplace knowledge and industry expertise and acts for the full spectrum of stakeholders. The global expansion of our firm over recent years has broadened the international angle to our real estate practice.

The Role

The team works on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic transactions and supporting activities of the firm's global clients. We deliver a client-focused responsive service for blue chip clients who expect the highest quality, great value and the delivery of excellent work. They, and we, expect our lawyers to be specialists in their sectors, and to be pro-active and commercially minded.

Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes

•    Development and infrastructure projects.
•    Investment-based disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions).
•    Working with a project team including construction and planning colleagues.
•    Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, easements, licences and agreements for lease.
•    Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on title.
•    Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work (e.g. shopping centres) and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice.
