The Team

The Reward team at Dentons UKIME plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies across the region. The team is dedicated to ensuring that the firm’s rewards packages are competitive, equitable, and aligned with both market trends and Dentons' overarching goals of attracting and retaining top talent. By working closely with other departments, including HR and finance, the Reward team ensures that the firm's compensation structures are designed to support career progression, promote well-being, and recognise individual and team contributions to the firm’s success.

 

The Role

 

The Senior Rewards Analyst is a crucial role within our HR team, responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance our compensation and benefits offerings.  This role provides an exciting opportunity to influence how we attract, motivate and retain top talent across our region.  Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, Reward this role involves leading complex projects, providing expert analysis, and ensuring our reward & benefits remain competitive, equitable, and compliant with current regulations. Additionally, the Senior Rewards Analyst provides support and guidance to the Rewards Analyst and acts as a business partner to HR Operations and Payroll.

Responsibilities

Compensation

  • Collaborate with the Senior Reward Manager, Head of Reward and HR Business Partnering team to develop and implement compensation strategies aligned with the Firm's goals and market conditions.

  • Conduct thorough market research and benchmarking exercises to ensure our compensation packages are competitive.  Analyse industry trends and provide recommendations for adjustments to our reward strategies.

  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual salary and bonus review process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fairness.  This involves detailed data analysis and preparation of reports for senior management.

  • Engage in fee earning and business services bonus and salary modelling and allocation.

  • Prepare bonus information for senior management and the annual pay review.

  • Provide expertise and advice on complex compensation related issues.

 

Benefits

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Reward to oversee the delivery of benefits via the flexible benefits system ensuring excellence in communicating those benefits to drive up participation and engagement.

  • Manage the service provided by third party suppliers of benefits and rewards related policies and products.

  • Support with complex benefit queries.

  • Maintain an awareness of up-to-date market information on current and future reward & benefit developments including those arising as a result of legislative changes.

  • Implement financial education seminars and bespoke seminars for different demographic groups.

  • Collaborate with benefit brokers to find alternative and innovative solutions to tackle local legislative constraints.

 

Pensions

  • Manage the relationship between the firm and its pensions advisors ensuring clear communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Member of the pension governance committee.

  • Communicate changes and updates effectively to employees.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Utilise data analysis techniques to support decision making in reward and benefits strategies. 

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on compensation trends and metrics to the Senior Manager, Reward.

  • Provide and present ad hoc analysis to the business to assist in decision-making.

 

Projects

  • Lead reward-related projects in collaboration with the Senior Reward Manager, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in reward and benefits processes.

  • Participate and where appropriate lead on reward related projects as required.

  • Provide advice and guidance on compensation packages and health policies.

  • Leverage the relationship with our health providers to support the Dentons Health and Wellbeing Strategy

 

Support and Guidance

  • Provide support and guidance to the Rewards Analyst, assisting in their professional development and ensuring the team's success.

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices.

 

Communication and Engagement

  • Design and implement communication strategies to ensure employees understand, appreciate and engage with the compensation and benefits packages.

 

Experience, Skills & Attributes

 

  • Experience in a reward or benefits role.

  • Strong understanding of health and risk benefits, with expertise in data analysis and HR information systems.

  • Practical understanding of benchmarking methodologies, preferably Willis Towers Watson.

  • Strong data manipulation skills, able to present data in a clear and concise method.

  • Excellent ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audience.

  • Capable of thinking strategically and providing pragmatic and commercial advice.

  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Proven project management skills and a track record of managing multiple priorities.

  • Resilient, flexible and adaptable

  • Previous experience of working in a professional services firm is desirable

  • Good stakeholder manager

  • Ability to maintain focus on longer term objectives
