Role Purpose
We are seeking a talented Content Writer to join the Digital Media, PR and Communications team in the UK, Ireland and Middle East (UKIME) region of the world's largest global law firm.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to produce engaging content across a variety of media, primarily digital (social media, website, podcasts) based on the work our lawyers do and the firm's activities more generally. They will also to support the firm's broader public relations, e.g. placing articles and commentary in print and online media, and drafting award submissions.
As a Content Writer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Dentons' brand through well-researched social media content as well as articles and blog posts which aim to offer insights to our external stakeholders, including clients and the media.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the PR and digital marketing efforts of a premium law firm.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, engaging, and informative content for various platforms including websites (Dentons and external publishers), blogs, social media and video/audio content hosting platforms.
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics (including interviewing lawyers) and digital content approaches to these topics to ensure accuracy, relevance and best practice in all materials.
- Assist in PR efforts by writing press releases, articles, promotional materials and award submissions that contribute to the firm's overall business goals.
- Edit and proofread content submitted by colleagues to maintain high standards of quality and consistency in tone and style.
- Manage social media accounts by crafting compelling posts that drive engagement and increase brand awareness, collaborating with colleagues from the Brand team to produce accompanying creative assets.
- Play an active role in campaign planning and execution, including social media advertising.
- Monitor and analyse content performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimise reach and engagement.
- Deliver social media training to internal stakeholders.
Required experience, skills and knowledge
- Good university degree.
- Minimum three years' experience in a digital content / PR role, or as a journalist/researcher.
- An interest in commercial law or professional services marketing is essential.
- Must be a competent verbal and written communicator.
- Familiarity with social media advertising platforms is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with video and podcast creation/editing is desirable but not essential.
Candidates who are qualified solicitors:
- Strong academic record, including a degree or equivalent.
- Having experience working on general employment matters with a solid grounding in collective and individual redundancy processes, unfair dismissal and all aspects of discrimination.
- Ideally have experience in a wide remit of work, with an exposure to employment tribunals. Experience working with volume litigation is an advantage.
- Candidates must be able to handle a high volume of matters and to tight deadlines.
- Candidates are expected to have technology awareness.
- Exceptional drafting skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- Experience in supervising more junior lawyers, paralegals, trainees, or apprentices is a desirable.
