The Role
Dentons’ Global Employment and Labour Group includes over 400 lawyers, spread across our offices, who represent clients in connection with Board related advice, regulatory advice, employment and benefits related litigation, transactions, investigations, executive compensation and day to day HR advice. With our global presence and contacts, we are one of only a few firms that can provide multinational businesses with a coordinated solution to all their employment and benefits needs throughout the world. We advise global businesses on a range of global projects, including diversity advice, investigations and workforce restructures.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join our growing practice. You can expect a broad mix of work ranging from HR advisory, global project work, corporate/M&A, restructuring, DEI projects, investigations, advice on senior exits and outsourcing. You will also work on large global projects with other lawyers across the firm globally.
You will maintain client relationships, contribute to business development and thought leadership, raising your own profile and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The UK People, Reward and Mobility team works as one practice across Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Milton Keynes. We have over 45 lawyers specialising in employment, pensions, and immigration, and we are growing rapidly. Our clients include Virgin Atlantic, TUI, John Lewis, Edrington, Bacardi, Marks & Spencers, CBRE, Mitie, Yamaha and TK Maxx.
We work with an interesting variety of clients across all sectors, with specific expertise in financial services institutions, media, technology, retail, transport and food and beverages.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of a team working on a variety of matters, gaining broad experience with first-rate clients.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Contribute to business development and speak at client seminars.
- Coach and mentor other mid-level and junior members of the team.
- Contribute to thought leadership and raise the profile of the firm externally.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Good academic record.
- Extensive knowledge of employment law and experiencing advising large businesses on employment related matters.
- Transactional support experience.
- You will ideally have experience of working with international clients.
- Capability to perform tasks autonomously.
- Advanced drafting skills and legal research ability.
