The Role


The Assistant Governance Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the governance for the Shadow Executive Team (SET). Main areas of responsibility will include:

 

  • Ensure meetings are in SET member diaries and ensure all arrangements are made to ensure the smooth running of virtual and in person meetings on behalf of the SET Chair.
  • Ensure attendance is confirmed at each SET meeting in good time.
  • Attend meetings and produce concise, accurate and timely minutes.
  • Maintain the SET actions tracker.
  • Managing the forward plan and helping to set agendas.
  • Distribution of papers via Dentons Direct.
  • Assist the Governance Manager in the running of the annual process to select SET members.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Governance Manager with proactively managing the administration of the governance cycle for the ESG Committee, the Ireland LLP Management Committee and the PGL/OH Forum.
  • Attend ESG Committee, Ireland LLP Management Committee and PGL/OH Forum meetings and produce concise, accurate and timely minutes.
  • Maintain action trackers for those committees and assist the Governance Manager with progressing actions for the ELT and Board meetings.
  • Deputise for the Governance Manager taking minutes at ELT and Board meetings as appropriate. 
  • Setting diary reminders for paper deadlines in authors diaries and following up with standard reminder emails and relevant templates two weeks ahead of the deadline.
  • Setting task reminders for Governance.
  • Assist the Governance Manager with the facilitation of meetings, providing in person support for in person meetings, ensuring the room is set up and ready for the meeting to commence, that catering is ready at the appropriate time according to the agenda and promptly dealing with any matters occurring throughout the meeting on behalf of the Governance Manager.
