Company: Dentons
Department/Division: Human Resources
Duration: Permanent
Location: London (Hybrid)
Reports to: Senior Manager, Partner Recruitment
Direct Reports: None
Type of Role: Permanent
The Department
The Regional (UK, Ireland & Middle East) Recruitment function consists of Early Careers, Experienced Hires, and Partner Hiring teams that together support Dentons’ strategic direction and growth through the attraction and hiring of high-quality talent.
The Partner Hiring team focuses on identifying and recruiting our future leaders, aligning its priorities with the firm’s five-year strategy. You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team helping to shape the future success and culture of the firm as we hire the next generation of senior lawyers and business leaders across the region.
The team’s approach is grounded in transparency, innovation, equality, and respect — ensuring an efficient, engaging, and inclusive hiring process that reflects Dentons’ values and ambition.
The Role
The Partner Hiring team consists of a Senior Manager, a Manager, an Advisor, and a Coordinator. As the Partner Hiring Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the entire recruitment process moving — anticipating what needs to happen next, maintaining accountability across the team, and ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm, including Divisional Leads, Practice Management, Finance, IT, and Compliance, supporting every stage of the partner recruitment and onboarding process. No two partner hires are the same, so being able to adjust to different requirements, effectively communicate, and solve problems are key.
Alongside managing day-to-day recruitment activity, you’ll also contribute to continuous improvement projects — helping to streamline processes, enhance onboarding, and improve the overall candidate and stakeholder experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the legal market and the partner hiring process, while working in a team that values openness, collaboration, and fun.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Partner Hiring process — effectively coordinate meetings, interviews, documentation, and stakeholder communication, ensuring all actions are tracked, deadlines are met, and processes stay on course.
- Maintain accountability across the team, prompting next steps and ensuring everyone knows what needs to happen when.
- Provide seamless administrative and logistical support, including interview scheduling, room bookings, and offer documentation.
- Manage onboarding logistics, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition for new partners — from offer acceptance to their first day — while managing all regulatory and LLP-related requirements.
- Collaborate across teams such as Finance, Compliance, HR, IT, and Clients & Markets to ensure all relevant checks, approvals, and systems are in place ahead of each partner’s arrival.
- Act as the central point of communication between candidates, agencies, and internal stakeholders — maintaining a professional, transparent, and responsive experience for all parties.
- Adjust approach to evolving priorities, managing multiple processes and adjusting plans as circumstances change.
- Contribute to process improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and inclusivity across the UKIME region.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all recruitment practices are fair, transparent, and aligned with the firm’s values.
- Manage documentation and reporting, maintaining accurate trackers, templates, and records to support reporting, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, tailoring your style to suit different preferences (e.g., Teams updates, emails, or brief check-ins).
- Collaborate as part of a close-knit team, contributing ideas, feedback, and suggestions to improve how we work and support the firm’s strategic goals.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to stay two steps ahead, anticipating needs.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to own tasks and projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
- Willingness to change and maintain focus in a swiftly evolving atmosphere.
- A genuine interest in people, process, and partnership – with curiosity to learn about the business and the legal market.
- A collaborative, open, and solutions-focused approach, with a drive to improve and innovate.
