The Role

 

At Dentons UKIME, we're pioneering the integration of new technologies to transform legal services. Our focus is on developing innovative solutions that enhance our client-facing products and support our Legal Data Strategy. We're seeking a Product Management Lead with a passion for technology, a deep understanding of legal processes, and a vision to drive product development. 

 

Required experience, skills, and attributes

 

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and refine the product strategy for AI-driven and client-facing legal products, aligned with the firm’s Legal Data Strategy. Establish clear goals and roadmaps for product development and innovation.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Leverage insights to inform product development and positioning strategies.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with legal professionals, data scientists, engineers, and the Clients and Markets team to ensure product visions are realised. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment.
  • Product Development: Lead the product development lifecycle from conception through launch. Define product requirements, prioritise features, and oversee the development process to ensure products meet client needs and business objectives.
  • User Experience: Champion an exceptional user experience for all products, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and provide tangible value to end users both internally and externally.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators for each product. Use data-driven insights to inform product roadmaps, for the continuous improvement of product offerings and to measure uptake and ROI. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, legal professionals, and industry experts to gather feedback and foster relationships that support product development, ensuring alignment of projects to the UKIME Innovation strategy.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in product management, ideally within the legal, technology or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies (and their application in legal contexts desirable) 
  • Strong interest in Generative AI capabilities (and their application in legal contexts desirable)
  • Familiarity with the legal industry and its unique challenges is highly desirable.
  • Experience of supervising and coaching Product Managers and Solution Engineers desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex, technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing product development in Jira, Slack, Monday.com, Trello or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with legal processes and data management principles is highly desirable.
  • Agile/Scrum certification or experience desirable.
