Role


The post holder will be responsible for enhancing landlord / tenant relationships and to manage the contractual tenancy obligations of Dentons UKIME, in addition to ensuing we are fulfilling our commitments to sub tenants.  


This is a part time role (2 to 3 days per week) and can be fully remote with occasion office attendance, if required.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the leases of a portfolio of properties – London, MK, Glasgow, Edinburgh (possibly Dublin) (to include sub-leases) and ensuring compliance with the terms.
  • Manage the rent and service charge for Dentons (to include our sub-tenants).
  • Act as primary point of contact and relationship manager for our managing agents, Landlord building managers and sub-tenants. 
  • Ensure rent and service charge review notices are served, liaising with Accounts on queries relating to rent/rates/service charge.
  • Liaise with management agents to ensure all costs are correctly identified and reconciled annually.
  • Assist Contract Manager with service charge budgets.
  • Follow up on rent/rates payments/rebates and ensuring the rent is paid on time.
  • Liaise with Accounts to ensure sub tenants are charged correct service charge and monitoring prompt payment. 
  • Undertake any other duties (including relevant administrative tasks) required to perform the role.

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Experience of working in a commercial property environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of commercial landlord tenant legislation.
  • Experience of property management accounts and service charges.
  • Excellent IT Skills.

 

Personal specification

 

  • Able to take full responsibility of the portfolio and run it smoothly.
  • Solutions focused and effective at managing positive and constructive relationships with landlords, managing agents and sub-tenants.
  • Proactive in keeping key stakeholders up to date with relevant information (in particular the Contract Manager and Director of Operations). 
  • Highly organised, efficient with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience of working in a professional services.
