The Department
The Regional (UK, Ireland & Middle East) Recruitment function consists of Early Careers, Experienced Hires, and Partner Hiring teams that together support Dentons' strategic direction and growth through the attraction and hiring of high-quality candidates.
The Partner Hiring team focuses on identifying and recruiting our future leaders, aligning its priorities with the firm's five-year strategy. You'll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team helping to shape the future success and culture of the firm as we hire the next generation of senior lawyers and business leaders across the region.

The Role
The Partner Hiring team consists of a Resourcing Manager, a Senior Advisor, an Advisor and a Coordinator. As the Resourcing Advisor - Partner Recruitment, you will play a specialist role supporting the delivery of Dentons' lateral partner hiring strategy across the UKIME region. Working closely with the Resourcing Manager and Senior Advisor, you will provide executive search-style research, market intelligence and direct sourcing capability to identify and engage exceptional partner candidates.
You will develop high-quality market intelligence, map talent across priority practice areas, identify prospective candidates, develop talent pipelines and conduct candidate outreach. Your work will directly inform strategic hiring decisions by providing robust evidence, commercial insight and detailed understanding of the external legal market. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the Firm.
Responsibilities / What you are responsible for
- Support the Resourcing Manager and Senior Advisor by providing high-quality research, market insight and intelligence to inform strategic partner hiring decisions.
- Monitor competitor hiring activity, partner movements, legal market developments and trends.
- Create market intelligence reports, research briefings and search summaries.
- Produce detailed market maps across required practice areas, sectors, jurisdictions and strategic growth areas, identifying target/ competitor firms and high-potential prospective lateral partners.
- Undertake detailed candidate research using LinkedIn Recruiter, Pirical, legal directories and other market intelligence tools.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines, build comprehensive longlists, target lists and talent maps for partner searches.
- Identify and assess candidates' practice focus, client following, market reputation and strategic fit.
- Conduct discreet, professional approaches to prospective lateral partner candidates.
- Support multiple concurrent partner searches while ensuring timely delivery and quality outputs.
- Prepare Partner search updates, progress reports, candidate summaries and longlist documentation.
- Represent Dentons professionally and confidentially throughout candidate engagement.
- Manage and coordinate with Partner recruitment agencies.
- Work closely with internal colleagues in other departments to produce high quality marketing materials to promote respective practice areas/ search mandates.
- Support wider partner recruitment projects and initiatives as directed by the Senior Advisor and Resourcing Manager.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the Partner hiring process.
- Contribute to developing a proactive, insight-led and commercially focused partner hiring function.
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion by ensuring research and sourcing activities support fair and inclusive recruitment practices.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Dentons and promote the firm's values.
Capability, Experience and Qualifications / What you bring
Essential
- Legal or professional services recruitment experience.
- Advanced research ability, with experience building market maps, talent pipelines, and candidate intelligence.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter together with research platforms such as Pirical, legal directories or similar market intelligence tools.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market information and present meaningful insights.
- Solid written communication and report-writing skills.
- Well-developed organizational skills with highly developed attention to detail.
- Ability to manage highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confidence engaging professionally with senior legal professionals.
Desirable
- Executive search experience.
- Experience researching or recruiting partners or other senior legal professionals.
- Knowledge of the UK legal market, law firm partnership structures, lateral hiring and competitor law firm landscape.
- Experience producing executive search reports, market maps or research briefings.
- Experience within an in-house executive search function or specialist legal search firm.
