We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join our national Finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Finance team at the world’s largest law firm.

 

About the role

 

  • Processing vendor invoices
  • Assist management of the National AP Mailbox
  • Melbourne office Finance operative including trust processing
  • Help manage the expense management system (Cosine)
  • Preparing and matching invoices for the daily payment runs:
    • Bulk payments
    • Daily hold for client payments
    • Urgent payments
    • Foreign currency payments       
  • National Credit card management – processing and payments
  • New vendor setup
  • Online disbursements file loads from external service providers
  • Employee expense claims
  • Closing matters
  • Assist team members with various tasks as required
  • Ad hoc queries and requests from Staff and Management

 

About You

 

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role (preferably within the legal or professional services industry)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent team-work skills, with a proactive attitude
  • Efficient time management skills, due to the nature of the role (high-volume transaction work)
  • Good communicator both written and oral, as you will be communicating with all levels of employees in our organisation
  • Proficient at Word, Excel and Outlook
