The Opportunity
Join a highly respected Partner whose background spans national firm partnership, advocacy at the Bar, executive leadership (including CEO of the Victorian Bar), and senior in‑house General Counsel roles. This is a unique chance to work closely with a leader who is both commercially astute and genuinely invested in mentoring and developing their team.
As the Melbourne practice continues to grow, you will play a key role in shaping its direction while benefiting from the support and scale of a national disputes team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of complex commercial disputes with autonomy.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior lawyers, fostering their development in partnership with your Supervising Partner.
- Build strong client relationships and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across Melbourne and interstate.
- Contribute to process improvements, knowledge resources, and initiatives that enhance a high‑performing team culture.
About You
You bring 5–7 years’ PQE in commercial litigation, ideally from a leading Australian law firm. You are confident managing matters end‑to‑end and show good judgement on when to delegate and escalate.
You thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and enjoy working closely with senior leaders. Your communication skills, client focus, and appetite for continuous learning enable you to build trust quickly with clients and colleagues.
