We seek a Human Resources Business Partner to work closely with the HR Director and broader HR team to provide high quality day to day business and strategic support and guidance to the firm by implementing people strategies and practices which support the firm's business objectives and continually improve the value of HR's contribution to the business.

Your role’s key responsibilities will include:   

  • Build trusted business partnerships and relationships at a senior level across the business units nationally.
  • Be the HR Business Partner for a varied portfolio of business units.
  • Be the Melbourne office HR point of contact and support the Head of Office in people and culture initiatives.
  • Manage the firm’s employee lifecycle in tandem with the broader HR team.
  • Manage the firm’s performance appraisal and remuneration processes.
  • Provide succinct commercial employee relations advice to the business and actively manage risk.
  • Support and coach people leaders in the management of people and performance issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of change management strategies with senior Partners and Leaders to improve business performance.
  • Work directly with the HR Director in the development and delivery of HR projects, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Develop the skills of other HR team members through coaching.
  • Work with Learning and Development to help drive learning and development initiatives.
  • Support recruitment activity including Graduate recruitment and drafting of business cases.
  • Ensure the firms HR related policies and procedures remain up to date with legislation and best practice.
  • Delivery and facilitate firm wide training and development sessions as required.
  • Manage the firm’s succession planning process.
  • Support WHS and employee wellbeing initiatives.

 

You will have strong HR experience, at HRBP level or senior advisor level (gained within legal or professional services is desired but not essential) together with sound judgment in people management issues and confident decision-making ability.
