Law Graduate or Solicitor (0-2 PAE) – Banking and Finance (Melbourne)
About the role
We have an excellent and permanent opportunity for a motivated Law Graduate or Solicitor to join our Banking & Finance team in Melbourne, full time.
Working closely with Nicola Schofield, Partner, and other lawyers across the practice group, you will gain exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters for a range of industries. You will assist on transactions acting for Australia’s major lenders, with the team servicing over 20 bank panels, including all four major Australian banks.
This role offers hands-on experience from the outset, including involvement in drafting, due diligence, transaction support, and client liaison. You will also be supported in your professional development and encouraged to build your skills and confidence as you progress your legal career.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will be a recent Law Graduate or junior solicitor (0–2 years’ PAE) with a strong academic record and a genuine interest in banking and finance law.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Previous experience in banking and finance, commercial law, or within a reputable firm will be highly regarded and is preferable.
