The Role
This role is in the Key Client Revenue team within finance and provides support to Fee earners and Clients in the UKIME region of the firm. The primary focus is the working capital management for specific key clients across the business. This includes providing monthly invoices and reports accurately and within deadline as per each Client's specific criteria. Interaction with fee earners to discuss unbilled WIP (Work in Progress) is regularly required. Assisting the Key Client team with various admin tasks to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met.
Responsibilities
- Have regular contact with Fee Earners ensuring all relevant information is in place so the monthly invoicing process can run smoothly. (e.g. making sure correct Purchase order no's/relevant references are in place so payment can be made promptly).
- Liaise closely with the team, raising high volume invoices within deadlines each month, applying appropriate purchase order numbers / relevant references once approvals are received from clients / fee earners.
- Assisting the team with Client's KPI reports and monitoring matters to ensure they are closed once inactive.
- Updating the system daily when new matters are opened with relevant Key Client criteria.
- Establish effective working relationships with fee earners and practice support executives.
- Action requests and queries from Fee earners for financial information using existing reports and systems (internal and external).
- Provide general assistance to the Key Client Revenue Manager with ad hoc project work, as and when required.
- Comply with the firm's policies and any other legal obligations, and effectively manage risks to the firm where those risks relate to this role.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel).
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage several tasks at once when working to tight deadlines.
- Positive, motivated team player and supportive collaborator.
- Desire to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
- Flexibility at times of high Client demand.
- Knowledge of the Elite or 3E accounts system would be an advantage.
