POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our national Profile and Client Development team and help grow Dentons’ profile in the Canadian legal market.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications and Profile, the Coordinator is a creative and strong writer with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of corporate communications. This individual is a strong writer with a keen interest in social media, content performance and corporate communications. This individual will play a key role in supporting Dentons’ external profile by drafting and refining content across multiple channels while also tracking performance by using data to continuously improve our approach. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various teams to strengthen our communications and enhance our brand in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, edit and enhance thought leadership content, such as client insights, elevating the content as needed; support the content’s distribution and amplification in collaboration with various teams
- Draft and execute LinkedIn content including writing compelling posts, suggesting visuals and recommendations to improve content effectiveness and audience engagement
- Support the drafting, review and editing of engaging external communications—including press releases, firm announcements and more—ensuring that all content meets brand and style guidelines
- Coordinate the intake, editing and publishing of client insights, working closely with lawyers and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality output
- Support the development of content to promote priority practice and sector strengths through integrated multi-channel communications plans, including social amplification and content repurposing
- Track and report on social media performance, including LinkedIn metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness
- Support with media monitoring and tracking
- Maintain and update the team’s activity trackers and editorial calendars
- Contribute to various profile-related projects by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Client Development, Events, Brand, Internal Communications, Translations, Talent, and more
- Other duties and administrative tasks, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in B2B marketing and communications, ideally with exposure to social media content creation and performance tracking (LinkedIn preferred) in a professional services environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze content performance and translate data into actionable insights.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent copywriting, editing and proofing abilities
- High attention to detail and superior organization skills to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional PowerPoint skills are required; must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite
- Creative, energetic, self-motivated, entrepreneurial and results-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning
- Highly professional approach at all times, team player who is able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct
- Ability to work overtime is required
- Fluency in French is a strong asset

This is a coverage role.
The target salary range for this position is $75,000 – $95,000, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Dentons is committed to equitable and competitive compensation. This target range falls within our internal salary ranges, which are based on comparable roles in the external market.
