Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Transactional Analyst to be based in our New York office. Transactional analysts gain significant exposure to law and business through hands-on, practical experience by working closely with lawyers and paraprofessionals on client matters. This position will support the Corporate practice group and will report to the Senior Practice Director for the practice group, with daily work performed primarily under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals.


Responsibilities 


•    Assist with preparation of basic transactional documents.
•    Conduct due diligence.
•    Establish and maintain electronic client files utilizing firm document management system.
•    Prepare closing indexes and binders and ensure post-closing obligations are met.
•    Review and analyze legal agreements and contracts.
•    Perform research on factual issues and assist in preparation of legal analysis.
•    Monitor and report on key industry developments.
•    Other duties as assigned.


Experience & Qualifications


•    Bachelor's Degree with strong academic credentials.
•    Ability to work in a professional team environment and interact with business services professionals and clients at all levels in a fast-paced legal environment. 
•    Proactive work ethic with the ability to anticipate the needs of the assignment and respond accordingly is a must.
•    Professional self-starter who can provide superior client service with strong attention to detail.
•    Excellent critical thinking, organizational, decision-making, writing and research skills are essential. 
•    Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PDF creation tool(s) is required.
•    Two-year commitment is highly desired. Interest in pursuing a career in law is encouraged.
•    Availability to work overtime to support business needs when necessary. 
 

Salary Range - New York:  $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
