Dentons US LLP has an opening for a highly motivated and organized Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a team of attorneys in our Litigation and Corporate practices in our New York office. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work on various legal matters and contribute directly to the success of our firm.  This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact, reviewing requests, clarifying needs with thoughtful questions, and proactively seeking solutions.
  • Leverage strong research skills and firm resources to provide accurate and complete information, consistently exceeding attorney expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure all requests are completed successfully and meet the needs of both attorneys and the firm.
  • Manage core legal secretarial tasks, including conflict checks, client matter opening, electronic approvals, and administrative duties like travel arrangements, calendaring, deposition coordination, and conference room reservations.
  • Type and make revisions to legal documents such as pleadings, agreements, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy in content and formatting.
  • Manage and secure attorney files, both physical and electronic, ensuring proper document flow and client confidentiality.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of legal secretarial and/or executive administrative support experience within a large organization, law firm, or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a solid ability to learn and adapt to new software programs are essential.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and a commitment to confidentiality are paramount.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills allow you to build strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
  • The candidate must work independently with some supervision and occasional overtime.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Salary Range

New York Only: $90,000 - $105,000 DOE
