Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Professional Development Coordinator. Location is flexible among most of our major market offices. The Professional Development Coordinator will report to the Senior Manager, Professional Development and the Professional Development Director. The Professional Development Coordinator will support our learning and development programs and performance management processes. This position is on a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Firm-wide and practice specific training programs:
- Distribute program invitations and all program related communications including reminder invitation, final details to registrants, materials and evaluations
- Reconcile attendance for CLE purposes
- Update and maintain the firm's Learning Management System (LMS) and MCLE tracking database, Micron CE Manager
- Provide practice specific learning paths reports
- Attend and monitor training programs
- Work with CLE Lead to support CLE-eligible training and projects
- Multi-day programs:
- Assist with coordination of multi-day training programs
- Support programs virtually or in-person as needed
- Coordinate weekly calls and agenda
- Work across departments such as clients & markets and talent to identify key information for a successful running of program.
- Performance management processes:
- Support the evaluation process administratively
- Create e-binders and organize materials for the annual year-end associate review process
- Prepare reports, statistical analyses, and system reviews related to the review process
- Mentor/sponsorship programs:
- Provide support as needed which can include, but not limited to, logistics, and attending meetings
- Maintain tracking documents
- Liaise with HR when needed to obtain diversity information
- General/Other:
- Distributes and drafts PD related newsletters and programming preview emails
- Coordinate other department duties, projects and assignments as requested
- Other duties, as needed or assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Experience in a professional services setting (legal industry preferred)
- Must be detail-oriented and a critical thinker;
- Able to work with a team of highly-skilled professionals in situations that require sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality;
- Able to work in the office three days a week, and remotely two days a week;
- Ability to maintain a good rapport with various personnel at all levels;
- Ability to organize assignments, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;
- Proactive and able to effectively balance priorities;
- Able to follow direction, work independently, and provide status updates, as appropriate;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency using Windows, Zoom and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Micron CE Manager and ViDesktop experience, a plus; and
- CLE experience a plus.
Salary Range:
New York Only: $50,000 - $70,000
