We are seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Business Development Associate to join our Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team. This role plays an important part in supporting the firm’s competitive positioning by managing key elements of the proposal (RFP) process and coordinating submissions to leading legal directories and awards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a law firm or professional services environment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to produce accurate, client-focused materials under tight deadlines.

Business Development & Proposals (RFP Focus)
•    Proposal Management: Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of RFP responses and panel appointment processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality submissions. (Annually, we handle approximately 250–300 proposals, including panel appointments and cross-border RFPs.)
•    Content Development: Draft, update, and maintain compelling business development materials, such as capability statements, experience lists, and tailored pitch documents (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint).
•    Data & Records Management: Maintain detailed and accurate proposal records in the Prague internal database and support the upkeep of credentials, lawyer bios, and client databases
•    Regional Collaboration: Provide Prague-specific input for European and multi-region opportunities led by other Proposals Team members (e.g., credentials, identifying relevant lawyers, pricing information).
•    Presentation Support: Prepare comprehensive supporting materials for client meetings and proposal presentations.
•    Opportunity Monitoring: Track public tenders and other business opportunities, and assist in preparing client and marketing reports.

 

Legal Directories and Awards
•    Submission Preparation: Manage the full process of gathering experience and preparing comprehensive submissions for key legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Epravo.cz, GCR, IP Stars, WTR, MLI and others.
•    Researcher Liaison: Liaise directly with directory researchers to secure interviews and assist lawyers with preparation for the interview, including attendance on interview calls.


Operational Support for Business Development activities
•    Internal Coordination: Assist in organizing Business Development meetings, taking minutes, and initiating follow-up on relevant action items.
•    Collaboration: Cooperate effectively with other team members on various projects.

 

Candidate Requirements:


•    Experience: A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a dedicated Business Development role.
•    Education: University degree, preferably in law or economics.
•    IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially advanced proficiency in Word and PowerPoint for professional document formatting, and Excel.
•    Language Skills: Native knowledge of Czech language and excellent written and oral knowledge of English are both essential.

•    Experience in a law firm or another professional services firm (e.g., consulting, accounting) is a strong advantage.
•    Familiarity with maintaining client databases and experience with proposal generation tools is beneficial.
•    Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
•    Mentally resilient and flexible.
