Business Development Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Executive to join our Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team. This role is crucial for driving the firm’s competitive positioning, focusing primarily on managing the end-to-end proposal (RFP) process and coordinating the firm's submissions to prestigious legal directories and awards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a law firm or professional services company, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality, client-focused materials.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key role in two critical areas: BD/Proposals and Legal Directories/Awards, while also providing broader BD support.
Business Development & Proposals (RFP Focus)
• Proposal Management: Develop the first draft and manage all aspects of the RFP response and panel appointment process, ensuring timely, high-quality, and targeted proposals.
• Material Development: Draft, update, and maintain effective BD collateral, including the office’s/practices’ capability statements, experience lists, and pitch documents (in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint).
• Data Management: Maintain accurate and detailed proposal records in the Prague internal database and support the maintenance of credentials, lawyer bios, and client databases.
• Multi-Region Support: Support European-wide and multi-region opportunities led by other regional Proposals Team members by providing specific Prague input (e.g., credentials, identifying relevant lawyers, and pricing information).
• Presentation Support: Prepare comprehensive supporting materials for client and proposal meetings.
• Monitoring: public tenders and other business opportunities, as well as preparing client and marketing reports.
Legal Directories and Awards
• Submission Preparation: Manage the full process of gathering experience and preparing comprehensive submissions for key legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Epravo.cz, GCR, IP Stars, WTR, MLI and others.
• Researcher Liaison: Liaise directly with directory researchers to secure interviews and assist lawyers with preparation for the interview, including attendance on interview calls.
BD Support
• Internal Coordination: Assist in organizing Business Development meetings, taking minutes, and initiating follow-up on relevant action items.
• Collaboration: Cooperate effectively with other team members on various projects.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential Qualifications
• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a dedicated Business Development role.
• Education: University degree, preferably in law or economics.
• IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially advanced proficiency in Word and PowerPoint for professional document formatting, and Excel.
• Language Skills: Native knowledge of Czech language and excellent written and oral knowledge of English are both essential.
Desirable Attributes
• Experience in a law firm or another professional services firm (e.g., consulting, accounting) is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with maintaining client databases and experience with proposal generation tools is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
