Programmer (6-month Contract)

This role will be based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Dentons Rodyk is currently seeking an IT Offshore Programmer whose main role is to bring about greater IT Data Insights to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to produce functional specifications.
•    Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language. 
•    Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems 
•    Develop Test Plan to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary.
•    Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Debug and fix issues and defects as they arise during testing. 
•    Create technical documentation for code and software projects, including design specifications, user manuals, and API documentation
•    Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories and collaborate with other team members on code changes
•    Implement and follow security best practices to protect software applications from vulnerabilities and threats.
•    Work as part of a development team, collaborating with programmers, quality assurance testers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
•    Design, develop and maintain custom business solutions using Microsoft’s Platform suite which includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agents.
•    To develop/enhance Firm’s Data insight reports using Power BI and leverage on global design
•    To partner with Business Analyst on process automation using RPA such as UI Path or Automation Anywhere. 

Requirements
•    Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role 
•    Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), Python, MS SQL etc. 
•    Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality code.
•    Familiarity with software development tools and integrated development environments (IDEs).
•    Proven experience in developing apps, automating workflows, creating reports using the Power Platform.
•    Excellent communication and the ability to work with business stakeholders
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
•    An analytical mindset and critical thinking 
•    Excellent Troubleshooting Skills and fluent in written and spoken English
•    BSc/BA in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline
