The Risk & Compliance Department of Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP carries out conflicts analysis (legal and commercial conflicts) and KYC checks (anti-money laundering (“AML”)/countering of the financing of terrorism (“CFT”), and develops internal risk protocols. On a day-to-day basis, the Risk & Compliance Department reviews and clears requests for opening of new files (from a conflicts and AML/CFT perspective). The Risk & Compliance Department also provides internal counsel and risk support to the various legal and non-legal departments of the firm.


The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance, and the role will involve the following:

  • Performing conflict searches
  • Analysing conflicts scenarios for file opening processes
  • KYC screening, analysis, and providing clearance for file opening processes
  • Attending to queries and liaising with internal departments
  • Assisting and providing support to the Head of Risk & Compliance generally



  • Degree or Diploma graduate
  • Good command of written and verbal English
  • Must have high regard for protocols and processes
  • Must be prepared to learn and understand conflicts, AML/CFT, and other compliance and rsk principles
  • Good analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently
  • Those with legal or accounting or other professional or KYC AML/CFT experience preferred
