The Risk & Compliance Department of Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP carries out conflicts analysis (legal and commercial conflicts) and client due diligence (anti-money laundering (“AML”)/countering of the financing of terrorism (“CFT”), and develops internal risk protocols. On a day-to-day basis, the Risk & Compliance Department reviews and clears requests for opening of new files (from a conflicts and AML/CFT perspective). The Risk & Compliance Department also provides internal counsel and risk support to the various legal and non-legal departments of the firm.

 

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance, and the role will involve the following:
•    Performing AML/CFT screening and analysis
•    Performing conflict searches

•    Attending to queries and liaising with internal departments 
•    Assisting and providing support to the Head of Risk & Compliance generally


Requirements: 

•    Diploma graduates
•    Entry Level Candidates are welcome to apply
•    Good command of written and verbal English
•    Must have high regard for protocols and processes
•    Must be prepared to learn and understand conflicts, compliance and risk principles
•    Good analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently
•    Those with experience in legal or accounting practice or other professional roles preferred
