Dentons Rodyk is currently seeking a Business Development & Marketing Executive / Senior Executive whose main role is to support the Firm’s practices in Singapore and the region. The candidate will work within the firm’s Marketing department which is a high performing team providing marketing and business development support to the firm’s 200 lawyers. The candidate is expected to work with the respective global business development teams.

 

A competitive package will commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate. This is an opportunity for an executive/senior executive, with at least 2 years’ experience in business development in a professional services environment, who desires to develop his/her skills and knowledge further by working in an energetic team in helping to grow the firm’s revenue.

 

While this is a 6 months contract positon, there is an opportunity for conversion to a permanent position, subjected to individual’s performance and vacancies at the time of offer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing in Singapore and working in collaboration with global marketing, business development and communications teams, the candidate is expected to do the following:

 

  • Coordinates the preparation of client RFPs, presentations, proposals and pitches.
  • Drafts and edits practice and sector materials including brochures, lawyer biographies and client presentations in support of the Firm’s business development opportunities.
  • Collects and tracks representative experience and facilitates maintenance of the Firm’s experience database.
  • Maintains library of materials for pitches, proposals and RFP responses.
  • Conducts research on current and prospective clients and industry trends.
  • Prepares submissions and interviews for various industry publications, e.g. Chambers Asia Pacific, IFLR1000 and Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
  • Collates and maintains a database of the Firm’s credentials, i.e., awards, rankings, accolades.
  • Works with practice leaders to support and coordinate business development initiatives, e.g., client events and meetings.
  • Assists with events and webinars – internal and external Works on special projects as requested by department management and lawyers.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Minimum two years marketing and/or business development experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

 

Preferred:

 

  • Law firm or professional services experience
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and other database
  • Familiarity with ranking submissions, ie, Chambers Asia Pacific, league tables, etc
  • Experience in working with senior stakeholders/C-suite executives
