We’re looking for three sharp, curious, and detail-driven AML/CTF Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team in Sydney. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to make a real impact in financial crime prevention, this is your opportunity.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

As part of our AML/CTF operations, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients and customers meet regulatory standards and operate within our compliance framework. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to assess risk, investigate suspicious activity, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our AML/CTF program.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

 

  • Conducting customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD) for high-risk clients, including documentation review, risk screening, and open-source research.
  • Monitoring client transactions and behaviour to identify potential money laundering or terrorism financing risks.
  • Escalating and reporting suspicious matters to AUSTRAC in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Performing PEP and sanctions screening and supporting the development of transaction monitoring rules.
  • Collaborating with global compliance teams to ensure financial crime risks are identified and addressed.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the refinement of AML/CTF processes and assurance frameworks.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on due diligence protocols and risk-based decisions.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically capable, but also proactive and collaborative. You’ll ideally have:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in AML/CTF compliance, investigations, or client onboarding (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
  • A mindset that embraces innovation, AI tools, and continuous learning.
  • A commitment to meeting regulatory deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
