About Dentons

Dentons is the world’s largest law firm. We’re 20,000+ people globally across 80+ countries including USA; Europe; India and Asia. We are a global polycentric firm which is expanding rapidly in an increasingly globalised legal industry.

Dentons now consistently ranks as one of the five best regarded legal brands in the world according to the Acritas Global Elite Law Firm Brand Index.

About the Role

In this role, you will provide dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency expertise to the large four Australian trading banks and private creditor providers (institutional providers, credit funds and family offices).

Dentons supports agile and flexible working. We have plenty of internal committees that you can join where many of our staff are working together to make a change through pro-bono work or community engagement.

About You

You will have at least two years of experience working in general commercial or banking disputes, with an interest in working for the top-end of the financial services sector. You will have the ability to manage contentious matters in a relatively autonomous fashion with the necessary support, as required.

We are seeking an approachable and empathetic lawyer with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for mentoring junior team members, and a collaborative, confident approach to stakeholder engagement. While prior experience in loan and securities enforcement is advantageous, it is not essential. What matters most is solid experience in commercial disputes before the NSW Supreme Court - particularly within the Corporations, Commercial or Possession Lists - including court appearance and advocacy on interlocutory matters. Our Partners are highly supportive and committed to training the right candidate in loan and securities enforcement.
