We have an exciting opportunity available for a Business Development Advisor to join our Marketing and Business Development team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based on either our Sydney or Melbourne offices.
This role supports the firm in developing client relationships and go-to market strategies through business and client planning activities to assist and facilitate Dentons to achieve our growth targets. About the role
- Identify revenue opportunities to maintain and grow existing client revenue and relationships, and to win work from target clients.
- Develop approaches to pursue opportunities with partners, lawyers and other business development team members.
- Assist partners and lawyers to develop their business development skills.
- Strategically advise in relation to bid/no bid decisions and articulation of unique selling points.
- Develop key messages and positioning of bids to reflect relationship history, nature of opportunity and market position of client.
- Project manage and coordinate the production of high-quality tenders and pitches.
- Contribute to the preparation of legal directory and award submissions.
About you
- 2+ years experience in business development roles within a similar role, in a professional services environment
- Be proactive and creative in your approach to business development
- Understand how to add value to clients
- Develop unique selling points to differentiate Dentons
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Deliver excellent client service
- Bring a high level of personal motivation and enthusiasm, willing to have your say, and learn from your colleagues
