Sydney | Dispute Resolution
Dentons’ Commercial Litigation team is growing, creating an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join a high‑performing Dispute Resolution practice at a genuinely exciting stage of its evolution.
Working across a broad and sophisticated disputes practice, you’ll be involved in high‑profile commercial litigation matters spanning contract, corporate, property and trade practices disputes, as well as class actions, fraud investigations and prosecutions, and government and regulatory inquiries.
This is a role for a lawyer who wants real responsibility, real client exposure and real progression.
Why this role stands out
- Work closely with highly engaged partners in a collaborative, down‑to‑earth team
- Exposure to blue‑chip ASX‑listed companies, government bodies, not‑for‑profits and high‑net‑worth individuals
- Strong administrative and junior solicitor support, allowing you to focus on complex legal work and client relationships
- A shorter and more flexible pathway to promotion than many traditional BigLaw models, with progression driven by performance and contribution rather than rigid timeframes
Importantly, if you are someone who feels limited in building your personal brand, profile or emerging practice where you are now, Dentons offers the platform, support and autonomy to help you grow. The team actively encourages senior lawyers to develop their own market presence and client relationships, supported by a global brand and a genuinely modern approach to career development.
About you
You’ll bring solid experience in commercial litigation and enjoy working in a busy, collaborative and sociable environment. You’re motivated by challenging work, value giving and receiving mentorship and support, and are ready for a role where your contribution is recognised and your career can move forward.
If you’re looking for high‑quality work, meaningful progression and the opportunity to build something of your own within a leading global firm, this is a role worth exploring.
