About the Role

 

This role presents a valuable opportunity to take the next step in your career and become a key contributor to the success of Dentons’ Risk & Compliance team in Sydney.

 

As a Contracts Analyst, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to review, analyse, and manage contracts with clients and vendors/suppliers. Your focus will be on ensuring all agreements align with Dentons’ legal obligations, internal policies, and regulatory standards. This work is essential to minimising legal risk, maintaining compliance and optimising contract performance.

 

You’ll gain exposure to contract management within a global legal environment, supporting both client and vendor relationships. Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager, you’ll be part of a team that values excellence, collaboration, and inclusivity — where your contributions will be recognised and your growth supported.

 

About You

 

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Contracts Analyst with 5+ years’ experience in a legal, financial or professional services environment, who thrives in a stakeholder-focused role. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in contract analysis or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
  • High attention to detail and precision in capturing terms, obligations, and deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar  
  • CPCM or similar certification (advantageous but not essential)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate the review of client and vendor/supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal regulations and Dentons’ policies
  • Document and track agreed terms and obligations
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Business Services teams to ensure contractual obligations are understood and met
  • Conduct due diligence on new vendors/suppliers in line with Dentons’ Procurement Policy and Modern Slavery Act 2018
  • Maintain and manage the Denton’s client and vendor contract database
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on contract-related matters
  • Assist with audits, policy updates, and compliance reporting
