About the Role

 

We have an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 3-4 years' PQE to join our Recovery and Restructuring team in Sydney.

 

In this role you will provide dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency expertise to major lenders and banks, insolvency professionals, Indigenous organisations and foundations, and various Not for Profit and arts organisations. This role is suited to a person who is approachable and empathetic by nature, with an outstanding stakeholder engagement style.

 

We have plenty of internal committees that you can join where many of our staff are working together to make a change through pro-bono work or community engagement.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • 3-4 years' PQE focusing on restructuring and insolvency law (knowledge of the insolvency provisions of the Corporations Act including company administrations, DOCAs and liquidations are a must);
  • Some litigation experience and personal insolvency also preferred;
  • A desire to work on challenging transactions and instructions;
  • Experience in loan and security enforcement for lenders and/or creditors;
  • Strong advice writing and document drafting skills;
  • The ability to work effectively with clients, and insolvency professionals;
  • The ability to manage contentious and litigation matters autonomously; and
  • Commitment to working in an office environment to best support the team.
