About the role

 

In this role, you will be working in a high-energy dedicated team, with one of our largest clients, defending claims made in the Fair Work Commission in accordance with the new Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code by 'employee-like workers' who have been deactivated from digital labour platforms. You will work across this entire stream of claims and support a dedicated team of Lawyers and Paralegals, as well as appear as advocate in the Fair Work Commission hearings with their support.

 

You will be supervised and mentored by highly personable and supportive partners who foster a positive, friendly and inclusive work environment. They are approachable, empathetic, and genuinely care about the well-being and professional growth of their employees.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience running unfair dismissal claims in the FWC;
  • Exceptional communications skills – verbal and written;
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior staff in an environment that encourages continuous learning; and
  • Self-motivation and drive, with a professional outlook and ability to work under pressure and deal with sensitive matters.
