Learning and Development Coordinator/ Consultant


The heartbeat of Dentons Learning and Development function is to provide market leading and innovative development opportunities that foster leadership at every level. In addition to a host of technical training programs, our L&D offerings are designed to include neuroscience & positive psychology elements across all the career level programming to develop self-leadership and sustainable high performance skills that also serve to protect and boost wellbeing in the workplace.


Reporting to the L&OD Specialist you will help facilitate and manage employee development programs to ensure that our people have the skills, knowledge and experience necessary for Dentons to meet its strategic goals and for our people to achieve development that leads to both success and satisfaction in their work and life.


Day to Day your duties will include:


  • Coordinate L&D calendars and events to manage all L&D offerings, including managing invites, booking rooms/facilities, resources and catering, liaising with presenters, organising training materials, checking room set up and managing the entering of data into Denton’s learning management system;
  • Welcoming new starters to the firm including taking them through their requisite training obligations and ensuring they have the appropriate support for any systems functionality issues and/or deeper systems training relevant to their role;
  • Co-facilitation of the monthly face to face New Start Induction (virtual session) and continued review and refinement of the materials and processes to ensure effective on boarding;
  • Set up virtual classroom sessions and provide support during events;
  • Working with the HR Coordinator and Systems Administrator to maintain accurate L&D information on the intranet and LMS;
  • Prepare communications and other promotional material on L&D offerings and events;
  • Regularly assess the quality of learning materials and ensure that they are up to date and meet the capability development of the firm;
  • Liaise with global L&D function in relation to learning programs that can be adapted and launched in region; and
  • Other duties as required.
