About the Role

 

Dentons is seeking a Risk & Compliance Administration Assistant to join our Risk & Compliance team. This role supports the Operational Risk Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining Dentons’ Risk Management and Compliance framework. You will also act as the Business Unit Coordinator for the General Counsel & Risk team and provide administrative support to the General Counsel, Company Secretary, and other senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide daily administrative support across Operational Risk Management areas, including Business Continuity, Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, PEXA governance, Practicing Certificates, and Insurance.
  • Maintain management systems, tools, registers, and documentation for Operational Risk.
  • Schedule meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate information for external client audits, questionnaires, and tenders.
  • Act as a first point of contact for Operational Risk Management queries, including supporting responses to business continuity incidents.
  • Assist with PEXA governance and administration of external systems.
  • Participate in projects to improve Dentons’ Operational Risk Management practices.
  • Assisting in the annual renewal of Practicing Certificates.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to GC&R leadership as required.

 

About You

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ administration or risk and compliance experience within a corporate environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration ideal
