The opportunity


We have a compelling offering for an experienced Senior Associate to Special Counsel level lawyer to join our dynamic and expanding Banking and Finance Practice to work with leading partners Chris Fanning and Peter Luke in our Sydney office. You will have at least four to eight years PQE gained running front end banking matters, but critically, you will be entrepreneurial, proactive and self-motivated.  You will also:


  • be able to run transactions with minimal supervision, be technically proficient in drafting various debt documents and be able to negotiate in a commercial and effective manner;
  • possess a strong work ethic and desire to consistently exceed client expectations from a product and service level;
  • demonstrate eagerness to be part of a high-performing team with a strong business focus;
  • demonstrate a genuine interest to join a close-knit team comprising robust personalities that highly values and embraces collaboration; and
  • be able to demonstrate resilience working in a high pressure, demanding environment.


We are predominantly a loan markets practice and advise corporate and institutional lenders and borrowers on various debt arrangements.  Whilst we are ever-increasingly acting for Dentons global clients on cross border matters, we have an unwavering commitment to our Australian clients who include major Australian banks as well a number of private lenders, investment managers and private developers.
