Sensational role for an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join our team - 18 month maximum term contract basis. 

 

 

Forming part of the high performing Marketing and Business Development team, this role covers a broad scope of internal and external communications, brand, social media and events.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing and leading the communications strategy for the Australasia Region (Australia and Papua New  Guinea), ensuring that the Firm's reputation, corporate image and communication objectives are implemented in line with the Firm's business objectives. 

 

Working with senior stakeholders, including the CEO, COO, Corporate Services Leaders, Business Unit Leaders and partners, you will oversee all aspects of the communication function including media relations, internal communications, crisis communications, brand, social media, webinars and digital marketing.

 

As part of the high-performing Marketing & Business Development team, the successful candidate will possess highly developed stakeholder management skills, thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, be a passionate advocate for all aspects of communications and consistently strive to deliver new and better ways of doing things.

 

In this broad and busy role your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):  

 

  • Develop and drive Dentons’ external media relations strategy to build Dentons’ overall brand awareness;
  • Work closely with partners, lawyers and the BD team to proactively identify opportunities to profile key initiatives and issues to media;
  • Develop, lead and implement the internal communications strategy for the Firm, including providing support to all of Dentons’ diversity and corporate social responsibility initiatives;
  • Provide strategic advice and tactical support for all crisis communications;
  • Lead and manage all client webinars, including all logistics, internal and external promotion, briefing speakers, providing advice on content;
  • Manage all CEO / COO communications – including providing strategic advice, drafting content and managing distribution;
  • Act as the custodian for all social media activity from Australasia;
  • Proactively come up with new and different ways of using digital to promote the Dentons brand;
  • With the assistance of the Communications and Marketing Executive, prepare content for the Australasia Region to sit on the Dentons website;
  • Champion the strategic importance of the Dentons brand, and act as the brand custodian for the Australasia Region.
