Digital Marketing Analyst

The Firm is currently recruiting for a Digital Marketing Analyst based in our Toronto office. This position will work in the Digital Marketing team, which continuously strives to increase profitability through the collaborative and measured use of integrated, multi-channel digital marketing practices and tools that empower marketers, business developers and professionals to generate more leads, close more deals and increase their efficiencies. The Digital Marketing Analyst will contribute across several digital marketing channels and functionalities by working on a campaign and project basis on website content management and analytics. They will also serve as an advocate for digital marketing best for the Firm internally.

The ideal candidate will work across our North America teams, with a focus on Canada, as well as having some global responsibilities.


What you'll be doing

Websites, blogs, content management and intranet
•    Be the point of contact for the Canada Region for website requests.
•    Implement content updates to the Firm’s website and microsites using the Firm’s CMS, Sitecore, WordPress and SharePoint, as well as direct HTML coding.
•    Provide assistance and guidance to other Sitecore and WordPress users.
•    Ensure all content posted to the Firm’s website adheres to Firm standards and is SEO compliant. 
•    Assist in the build, launch and maintenance of microsites and blogs. 
•    Manage lawyer biography updates for the Canada region on Dentons.com


Email marketing and lead generation
•    Format, optimize and distribute email-marketing campaigns, internal and external, including announcements, thought leadership pieces, newsletters and event invitations for the Canada  region.
•    Ensure distributions adhere to brand standards, marketing best practices and applicable regulations, including regional anti-spam laws. Work with the Firm’s lawyers, support staff and business services professionals to build and nurture productive marketing mailing lists. 


Analytics and Campaign Measurement
•    Assist in the creation, analysis and interpretation of reports as requested using Google Analytics, , email marketing and social media management platforms.

Other Duties
•    Represent the Digital Content Marketing team in Clients and Markets team  meetings.
•    Put forward recommendations for improvements to the department’s systems, business processes and procedures.
•    Develop and maintain documentation relating to your role and team function.
•    Assist in content curation for the Firm’s employee advocacy tool.


•    Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Digital Marketing.
•    2 to 3 years of digital marketing experience; professional services environment preferred.
•    Fluency in English and a secondary language is an asset. 
•    Experience working with content management systems and email marketing tools.
•    Professional experience with social media is preferred.
•    Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is required.
•    Familiar with analytical tools, researching and reporting, and being able to tell a user’s story through analytics. 
•    Computer literate with working knowledge of common desktop applications such as MS Outlook Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
•    Experience with Vuture and InterAction is an asset. 
•    Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, in an effort to support a global business.
