POSITION SUMMARY

 

Dentons is seeking a talented and motivated Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. 

 

Digital Marketing plays an integral role at Dentons by providing multiple client touch points ranging from sharing thought leadership, event invitations, and other content. Our objective is to provide interested parties with relevant, useful, and timely information, to enhance existing relationships, generate leads and improve client outcomes.  

 

This role will focus on working closely with the Canadian team to drive digital and data initiatives to champion, promote, and encourage best practices in client outreaches, use of the CRM (InterAction), and ensure our clients are receiving insights critical to their business.

 

Key responsibilities include the delivery of client materials through our email delivery platform proactively managing data quality, engaging with users to promote best use of Interaction, support the region’s data strategy efforts, and to develop and manage data reporting to support business outcomes. This role will also support CRM activities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Optimize and distribute external email marketing campaigns including announcements, thought leadership and event invitation via the email marketing platform, Vuture and support related CRM activities.
  • Format external marketing content within email marketing templates.
  • Ensure distributions adhere to brand standards, marketing best practices and applicable regulations, including CASL (Canada Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and other global anti-spam laws where applicable. 
  • Connect email marketing campaigns to the CRM platform and ensure data is being correctly written back to the CRM platform. 
  • Update and maintain information in the CRM as it relates to marketing and business development campaigns.
  • Work with the Firm’s lawyers, support staff and business services professionals to build marketing mailing send lists. 
  • Maintain data integrity and quality within the CRM, when necessary, provide training and supporting users on best practices for CRM usage.
  • Assist in out of office coverage in Canada and the US when necessary, including email marketing and CRM duties.
  • Other duties as required to fully meet the needs of the role.

 

STRATEGIC ADVISORY AND DATA INSIGHTS

 

  • Assist in the creation, analysis, and interpretation of reports as requested using InterAction and Vuture.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to the department’s systems, business processes, and procedures and provide actionable insights to the Canadian team and global stakeholders.

  • Manage the production and distribution of relevant departmental reports.
  • Lead efforts to champion, promote and encourage the use of the firm's CRM system, InterAction, and its associated processes. 
  • Collaborate with team members to leverage CRM for projects and tasks.
  • Support running the firm's CRM business tool, InterAction, aligned to policies and procedures, including data protection. 
  • Handle requests for assistance with InterAction and CRM in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist where directed on Digital Marketing and wider Marketing team projects, initiatives, and programs. 
  • Actively promote, develop, and implement approved best practices and monitor their effectiveness.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

 

Technical Experience and Skills 

 

  • Sound knowledge of Vuture (or a similar email platform) and InterAction (or a similar CRM platform), including its various admin / user interfaces and associated modules, in a professional services setting 
  • 3+ years’ experience; preference may be given to applicants with prior law firm or professional services experience
  • Solid understanding of data management and the importance of data quality tasks
  • Comfortable with databases, data manipulation and mining, including proactively managing and maintaining data quality within the CRM (InterAction)
  • Familiar with analysis, analytical tools, researching and reporting
  • Experience supporting a region’s data strategy efforts to enhance client outreach and engagement, including engaging with users to promote best practices in CRM usage
  • Good working knowledge of applications such as MS Outlook and Word and Excel
