IT Project Manager, 3E

Dentons is looking for a Project Manager to support the IT team during a North American ERP financial transformation within the organization. This individual will be supporting the US with this project. The environment will be fast paced with an experienced and delivery orientated team seen as experts in their field.



•You will assist in scoping, objective setting, and aligning stakeholders for projects. Your experience will allow you to guide clients to prioritize and schedule their projects effectively.

•Develop comprehensive project plans, processes, and workflows for efficiency and execution, establishing appropriate ownership for all deliverables

•Identify project risks early and implement action plans to mitigate or eliminate risks

• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.

• Thorough understanding of information technology trends, procedures, and practices

• Solid technical background and understanding of Network support systems in a multi-platform environment; servers, workstations, switches, and access points.

• Proficient or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.

•Collaborate with departments across the company, key stakeholders, and external vendors facilitating meetings when necessary

•Centralize information by preparing status reports on deliverables and leading timely meetings

•Manage and deliver projects on-time, maintaining a strong understanding of deliverables across all channels

•Lead wrap-up initiatives and report on key findings, identifying opportunities for efficiency and additional service channels.


Top Skills and Duties

• Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.

• Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, and timelines.

• Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

• Establishes and implements project communication plans that will support various IT projects, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.

• Recommends information technology procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems, evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports for the PMO.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.


The right candidate will have

•Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in project management and the management of multi-faceted projects

Previous Financial ERP implementation experience is preferable

•Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders and executives

•Organized with attention to detail on planning, scheduling, communication

•Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently, with confidence to multi-task and delegate as required while still adhering to process

• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Prior experience in a fast-paced, virtual, delivery driven company is ideal.

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field preferred; or a combination of skills and education.

• Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills - Develops effective relationships with co-workers and management by helping others accomplish tasks through training, coaching, and follow-up, as well as using collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

•PMP, ACP, Scrum Master, ITIL, Lean or other project management certifications with demonstrable application desired

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Online
