POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented post-secondary student to join our team as a Summer Student in the Business Services department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience within a global firm and develop insights into the operations of a law firm.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Manager of Legal Support, and various other Business Services departments gaining exposure to a diverse range of tasks and special projects throughout the summer of 2025. These may include conducting document reviews, performing data entry, providing administrative support, drafting correspondence, assisting with event and coordination services. This hands-on experience will offer valuable insights and skill-building opportunities in a dynamic legal environment.
This position is ideal for students pursuing studies in legal studies or business administration who are eager to gain valuable, real-world experience in a dynamic legal environment.
This is a full-time (9AM to 5PM), fixed opportunity, commencing in May and ending in August and in office attendance is mandatory.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled or about to complete (May 2025) a university /post-secondary program (law-related studies preferred, but not required)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Word and Excel
- Strong analytical skills including ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly in both written and verbal format
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in the completion of assigned tasks
