Our Talent department is looking for a recruitment subject matter expert to join the team.  The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead a high-performing team and will assess and make recommendations on processes, new and emerging recruitment trends and approaches and key talent strategies. With a focus on partnerships and collaboration, the Talent Acquisition Manager will build relationships across the firm, elevating the function’s efficacy and reputation while afforded the autonomy to make a difference in a meaningful, high profile way. 

 

The Talent Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in the firm’s success and will bring a creative, focused and people-oriented lens to the Talent Acquisition function.  As part of the broader Talent team at the firm, the Talent Acquisition Manager will help shape a new talent acquisition mindset, focusing on facilitating the firm’s investment in talent acquisition strategies for the future and on continuing to drive the evolution of the firm’s approach to the changing external talent landscape.

•    Lead the development and implementation of a national recruitment strategy focused on highly customized and strategic recruitment plans informed by the Firm’s inclusion and equity goals and focused on attracting exceptional legal support and business services professionals to pursue fantastic careers at Dentons.
•    Lead a team of recruiters including coordinating activities in order to maintain efficiency and to achieve Firm talent acquisition goals; identify coaching and learning opportunities to ensure team is inspired and empowered to develop and implement impactful recruitment strategies.
•    Manage the full-cycle recruitment process with a view to providing an efficient and high touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer including: developing innovative, inclusive, exciting job ads; coordinating approvals; determining and implementing recruitment strategies; and driving the interview and offer process including, reference checks and salary recommendations.
•    Is a true business partner and advisor to the business, understanding the hiring needs of the different internal groups proactively connecting across stakeholder groups to ensure all teams are working toward the firm’s recruitment strategy while also triaging and addressing any challenges along the way through collaboration with hiring managers, Talent Advisors and Talent Directors.
•    Introduce new and innovative sourcing approaches with the goal of developing passive pools of candidates that can be presented to internal stakeholders, strengthening external relationships with academic institutions, professional associations and other external partners focused on supporting diverse groups and fostering inclusion.
•    Collaborate with other geographies on best practice and creative solutions given the similarities in current recruitment challenges.
•    Establish and communicate regular updates and key recruitment metrics, ensuring the team is adding value at every step of the recruitment process.
•    Liaise with the different talent teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth entry and integration of new hires into the Firm.
•    Ensure the firm is incorporating an inclusive and diverse approach to our recruitment strategy and experience.
•    Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

•    Undergraduate degree with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience with at least two years of team management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•    Experience in a large law firm or professional services context and/or legal recruitment experience is a strong asset.
•    Prior experience building and driving talent-sourcing initiatives. 
•    Previous experience with applicant tracking databases; experience with SuccessFactors is an asset.
•    Fluently bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
