Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Senior M365 Engineer. This is a highly skilled technical position within the Enterprise Services Team, which handles the Microsoft Exchange, User Identity, and Collaboration systems design, administration, and implementation efforts for the US.

 

As Engineer, this position requires people skills, organizational skills, and technical acumen.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Migration of on premise Exchange environment to Exchange Online, including hybrid mode
  • Enablement of modern authentication for Outlook
  • Monitor the health of the firm’s messaging and identity systems and plan and perform changes or maintenance as needed
  • Participate in projects to plan updates, extensions or modifications of firm messaging and identity systems
  • Administration of DNS and external messaging and identity systems
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Active Directory domain controllers
  • Managing Active Directory Group Policies
  • Design and maintain an identity infrastructure allowing for consolidated and secure user authentication including MFA
  • Expertise in identity protocols and systems to enable federation and single sign on (SSO) such as Azure AD, ADFS, SAML, RADIUS, LDAP, and OAuth
  • Project participation where user authentication or mapping is required across systems
  • Administration of collaboration platforms such as Teams and Sharepoint
  • Provide subject matter expert support to the Service Desk or other Information Services functional teams for resolution of issues related to messaging or identity systems
  • Research training or professional growth opportunities for team members to maintain a high level of technical expertise in new or updated technologies
  • Building and maintaining Azure IaaS and PaaS resources such as Front Door, Web Services, VMs
  • MobileIron Cloud for management and configuration of mobile devices and laptops
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

 

Experience & Qualification:

  • Thoughtful but quick independent decision making. (5 years of making go/no-go decisions)
  • Thorough troubleshooting at a highly technical level. (10 years of leading problems to resolution).
  • Excellent customer service (10 years in various environments where the measurement was customer satisfaction).
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, and M365 (5 years in supporting and upgrading MS Exchange systems at the 2010 level).
  • Mail Filtering and Archiving (5 years).
  • Microsoft DNS server (5 years of experience).
  • SMTP routing and architecture (5 years of support).
  • Microsoft IIS (5 years of experience).
  • Microsoft Outlook 2016+ ( 10 years of experience with the client including add in functionality and interface with other systems such as Document Management Systems preferably FileSite).
  • Working knowledge of VBScript, Powershell (3 years using automation tools).
  • Advising and integrating SAML and MFA (3 years)
  • Mobile Device management and Enterprise Mail and App enablement (3 years)
